Anthony Gorss
I work in enterprise infrastructure and systems administration with a focus on operational reliability, Microsoft environments, automation, and long-term systems management.
My background includes over a decade supporting and maintaining infrastructure within government environments, including Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, endpoint management, and operational support systems. Much of that work has involved troubleshooting complex production issues, managing aging infrastructure, improving operational workflows, and navigating the realities of large organizational environments.
This site serves as a central location for technical writing, infrastructure projects, operational analysis, and long-form documentation related to systems administration and enterprise IT operations.
Topics here may include:
- Hybrid Microsoft environments
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Exchange and mail infrastructure
- PowerShell automation
- Infrastructure migrations
- Operational governance and process analysis
- Endpoint and systems management
- Technical tooling and workflow design
The focus is practical experience over theory. Most environments are constrained by legacy systems, policy, staffing limitations, operational debt, and competing priorities. The goal is to document solutions, failures, observations, and lessons learned from working within those realities.
In addition to technical operations work, I also maintain independent projects related to automation, authentication systems, operational tooling, and digital infrastructure.
